U.S. Visiting Scholar
The Commission sponsors with various partners the visit of U.S. Scholars to graduate courses in Brazilian institutions of higher education. The grant length is three or four months. There is also the option of two serial grants of two months. The scholar should apply in the U.S. through the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) until August 1 st , to teach in Brazil in the second semester of the following civil year. It is advisable that the candidate for the Fulbright Scholar Program present an affiliation letter along with the CIES application form. Learn more .

U.S. Student
The U.S. Student Program is designed to give recent B.S./ B.A. graduates, master's and doctoral candidates, and young professionals and artists opportunities for personal development and international experience. It is also possible to apply to the Englisgh Teaching Assistant program. The application period usually opens as of  May 1st until October 21st of each year. Selection is made by Institute of International Education (IIE) and the Fulbright Commission of Brazil.
